How to Write a Ticket
Tools: Canva
Time: 1-2 hours including feedback and revisions
Client: Meraki Mediterranean Kafe, food truck
Actual ticket labeled with instructions for workers to refer to while on the truck. This is specifically geared towards new hires, but chef also has a number of workers who work only 1-2x per month and this provides a quick refresher as needed.
Challenge:
Chef also has a number of workers who work only 1-2x per month and this provides a quick refresher as needed. Training also needed for new hires as up until now, it has been mostly family operated.
Solution:
This job aid is part of the solution. A knowledge-based course in Rise was developed as well as a 7Taps video and a job aid related to abbreviations for ticket writing.
Result:
Tested on the current workers, who are predominantly teenagers and their reactions have been positive. Real tests will be once new hires go through the training process and begin working on the truck. Updates will be presented at that time once implemented.
Food Truck Ticket Abbreviations
Tools: Canva
Time: 2 hours
Client: Meraki Mediterranean Kafe, Food Truck in Eastern NC.
Challenge:
Consistency on customer order tickets was lacking, so in addition to a knowledge course and other job aids, Chef wanted something that workers could reference right on the truck with abbreviations.
Solution:
A job aid of abbreviations was created that followed the order of the menu and the order of tickets to keep the process streamlined for both new hires and for those only working 1-2x per month.
Results:
Posted in the truck recently and new hires going through training now. As I am updated with results will post.
